Easy Weekend of Running?

After last weekends exploits of the Tring2Town event, this weekend seems a bit of a breeze! Our plan for the final 6 weeks of training is to do more consecutive days running, which is exactly what will be required in the desert. We know we can do a long days running with no real problems but we still need to train ourselves to run for 6-7 days with a backpack. So this is going to be our focus for the next month.

Not a great deal of training was possible last week as I was on a training course but with that out of the way training is back in full swing. Yesterday we went for a 15 mile, cross country run with backpacks. It seemed so short and pretty easy after last weekend but this week is all about running on consecutive days. After this post we're heading out on a 13 miler with backpacks.

Tomorrow I am planning on a 45 min run on the treadmill next to the pool, with backpack.

I am sure by the end of the week we'll be feeling it : )
